They're Shoe Ins

Greetings and Salutations,

So this week has been a bit hectic, since it is week seven and whatnot. But we did manage to schedule two rehearsals, one of which we had the full cast present, the other two of the three. The first was super productive and I could feel the actors really sinking into their characters as the lines became embedded in them and they started to resonate with their characters. We also figured out the secret sibling handshake (spoilers) and the hand jive (which is like a fourth of hand jive but works really well). I could see the sibling dynamic grow between Genesis and Adam. Maia and Genesis have a very natural friendship chemistry which is very exciting to see onstage. The second rehearsal focused primarily on line memorization and some clarifications on character intentions but was no less valuable. Overall, things are progressing nicely as we prepare for company run throughs next week.

Life is good,

Sincerely,

an ever optimistic playwright
