Episode V: This Is Where The Fun Begins

Company Run-throughs, This idea have been terrifying me for the last couple of weeks, I had confidence in my play but as soon the dates are approaching the more terrifying I get, I started to create few hypothetical situations like: What if no one shows to the performance? What do I tell my cast? but at the end of day, saying "everything is going to be fine" helps a lot. We had one company run-through by far and we all worked on transitions and it went smother than I expected. I was nervous for the actors because, we added few moments into the play just before our first run-through and I was worried that the cast would feel pressure as there are audience watching the one act. But they pulled it off, that run-through is their best by far, none of them called lines nor forgot any lines, and that made me happy. We will be having another one soon and I'm really excited because, we knew that the only thing that'll make the actors do great is the audience. Their presence will make a lot of difference. Out of the play, we figured out our intro and ending music and that is one of hardest job, as I'm not that proficient with the current music but I know few songs that would fit because of my obsession with movies. We didn't had to worry about any sound cues or light cues because there isn't that many .We knew that, after this Tuesday, it will no longer be mine or Wendy(my director)'s show. Our job will end on Tuesday. Mine technically ends today as I won't be adding or changing any lines. This is all on actors now, this where I can finally sit and absolutely do nothing. This is where the fun begins.

Have A Wonderful Day,
Srimanyu Ganapathineedi
